History of Volleyball
 

Volleyball was found in the USA in 1895 by American William Morgan. Morgan has developed this game for young people to do sports as a member of YMCA. Morgan brought together some of the features of basketball, baseball, tennis and handball to create a game that required less physical contact than basketball and called this game MINTONETTE.

 Morgan borrowed the net from tennis, and he sits at about 183 cm off the ground. raising a little above the average human height. In 1996, when a congress of the Springfield College college Y.M.C.A. Mintonette has changed its name to VOLLEYBALL.

 Because it is important to bring the ball back and forth, and this means English volley. As a game, volleyball was initially US. Canada was the first country in the world to adopt this sport and the international organization Y.M.C.A. Volleyball pioneered the spread of the whole world and also designed the special ball for volleyball in the same year. The first international tournament was organized in 1913 in Asia and China, Japan and the Philippines joined the tournament.

 In 1916, the Philippines developed a style for the attack by raising the ball at a certain angle and hit by another player. The US came to Europe in the First World War. soldiers began to introduce volleyball and in 1917 Y.M.C.A.  In 1930, for the first time, there was a dual beach volleyball. In 1934, the national volleyball referees were approved and in the same year, in Stocholm, the IAHF (International Handball Federation) congress proposed and established a technical committee of the Polish president.

 In 1936, during the Olympics in Berlin II. The congress was held and it was decided to establish an international committee.

 In 1937, the US at the Amateur Sports Association meeting in Boston. has accepted the volleyball federation as a national, official and administrative organization. The rules applied in America in 1938 were accepted as international rules with minor changes.

 In 1947, the International Volleyball Federation was designated at the international congress in Paris. The first member countries of this federation; USA, Brazil, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Egypt, Portugal, Poland, Uruguay and Yugoslavia.
